The BRIT Awards have revealed the new trophy for their 2026 ceremony — the first edition ever to be held outside London, taking place on February 28, 2026 at Co-op Live, Manchester.
Designed by acclaimed British creative Matthew Williamson, the amber-toned resin trophy takes inspiration from Manchester’s iconic worker bee, symbolising the city’s resilience and collective spirit, and sits atop a globe representing the worldwide influence of British music.
It has been described by many as being “simple, sophisticated and striking.
Matthew Williamson is a British designer from Manchester, best known for his vibrant use of colour, bold prints, and a signature style that blends fashion, art, and interior design. Born in 1971, he studied Fashion & Printed Textiles at Central Saint Martins, launched his own fashion label in 1997, and later became the Creative Director of Emilio Pucci. Over the years, he expanded into interiors and lifestyle design, creating wallpapers, furniture, and full space designs. Today, he is an award-winning interior designer, author of Living Bright, one of the UK’s most recognisable creative figures, and the designer of the 2026 Brits Award trophy.

Simple, modern, and undeniably rooted in Manchester’s identity, the 2026 trophy sets the tone for a historic new chapter as the BRIT Awards step into their first-ever northern home.
ITV remains the official BRIT Awards broadcaster for the 34th year. The ceremony is set to air exclusively on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player. The nominations for the 2026 edition have not yet been announced.
