Daylist Expansion
Daylist, a playlist that evolves with a user’s listening habits throughout the day, launched one year ago and has become a popular feature.
Seventy percent of Daylist users listen on a weekly basis, and millions stream the playlist daily. This spring, Daylist was expanded into 65 additional English-speaking markets.
The feature is now available worldwide to both free and premium users and supports the following languages: Arabic, Catalan, French (Canada), French (France), German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Mexico), and Turkish.
Users in supported regions will see Daylist titles in their native languages, such as “afrofuturisme funk moderne du mercredi après-midi” and “pazartesi sabah etiyopya caz enstrümantal funk.” The product team collaborated with local music and culture experts to adapt the feature for each language.
Daylist can be accessed by searching “daylist” within the application or by visiting spotify.com/daylist. It is also available in the Made For You hub.
The playlist updates multiple times each day, and users can see when the next update will occur on the playlist page.
Daylist is the most-shared personalized experience offered, excluding Wrapped, with millions of shares from users in available markets.
Users can save a specific Daylist playlist to their library in three steps.
Adding Daylist to Your Library provides easy access to the playlist and allows users to explore their musical tastes and moods. As how music technology is reshaping Nigeria’s creative economy continues to evolve, platforms like Spotify are key.
The expansion into new markets, particularly in Africa, is noteworthy given the Nigeria proudly on the global stage: 2026 Grammy nominations for Afrobeats.
