2026 Podcast Award Winners Announced in Mexico
The 2026 podcast awards ceremony was held in Mexico City. The event, now in its second year, recognizes podcast creators who are influencing cultural discussions in Mexico and Latin America.
Prior to the ceremony, voting reached record levels, with over 1 million unique voters submitting nearly 8 million votes.
“Eight million votes say much more than any metric; it speaks of a community that not only watches and listens, but organizes, supports, and celebrates,” stated Thais Tavara, Head of Podcast, Spotify Latin America. “That’s exactly what we want to celebrate.”
Diana Wong and Dani Valle hosted the event, which was attended by over 350 podcasting professionals and nearly 600 fans. Viewers were able to follow the event live on Spotify México’s TikTok account.
Listeners voted for winners in 10 of the 11 categories through the podcast application. A panel of marketing experts selected the winner of the “Favorite Campaign” award, a new category recognizing creative strategies used by nominees to encourage fan voting.
SANTOS BRAVOS performed songs including KAWASAKI, WOW, MHM, and VELOCIDADE. Cachirula and LOOJAN also performed, and El Malilla concluded the evening with a performance featuring songs Golosa, B de Bellako, Mami Tú and Balenciaga.
