On May 15, 2026, Drake released three new albums: ‘Iceman’, ‘Maid of Honour’, and ‘Habibti’. All three albums were released by OVO under exclusive license to Republic Records, a division of Universal Music Group.
Drake became the most-streamed artist in a single day on Spotify in 2026, with a 1,100% increase in simultaneous listeners on Apple Music, where ‘Iceman’ reached number one in 79 countries. The release also marked the biggest first-day streaming debut globally on Amazon Music in 2026.
At the time of reporting, Drake held 12 of the top 20 positions on Spotify’s global daily chart, all originating from ‘Iceman’. His lead track, ‘National Treasures’, was approximately 1 million daily streams below Michael Jackson’s ‘Billie Jean’.
As of the reporting date, ‘Iceman’ had accumulated 395.4 million streams on Spotify, including 194.7 million streams from the lead single ‘What Did I Miss?’, released in July 2025. ‘Maid of Honour’ had 242.8 million streams, with 201.8 million from the Central Cee collaboration ‘Which One’, also released in July 2025. ‘Habibti’ had 42.8 million streams.
Analysts have speculated that the release may be connected to Drake’s contractual obligations with Universal Music Group, particularly as his legal dispute with the company continues and he appeals the dismissal of a defamation lawsuit.
