A recent study by Epidemic Sound found a high percentage of online video creators are currently utilizing artificial intelligence tools, with many anticipating increased usage in the coming year.

Epidemic Sound Study Examines Creator Attitudes Towards AI

Epidemic Sound conducted research into the attitudes of online video creators regarding artificial intelligence. The resulting ‘Future of the Creator Economy Report 2026’ revealed that 94% of creators are currently using AI technologies.

Of those utilizing AI, 46% apply it to enhance content or marketing materials, while 44% use it for idea generation and scriptwriting. 43% employ AI for editing and production tasks, and 33% leverage it for audience insights and analytics. The survey indicated that 30% of creators are producing content that is fully AI-generated.

The report also found that 89% of creators report feeling pressure to adopt AI in order to remain competitive with their peers. However, the expectation of increased AI use varies by age group. While 75% of creators aged 35-44 anticipate increasing their AI usage in the next 12 months, only 57% of those aged 18-24 share that expectation.

13% of creators between the ages of 18 and 24 currently do not use AI at all.
