Industry executives Blake Duncan and Scott Hendricks have launched TAYCAN Entertainment, a new independent music publishing and artists and repertoire (A&R) company based in Nashville.

Hendricks, one of country music’s most decorated producers, has amassed 82 No. 1 singles and 126 Top 10 hits. He helped break artists including Keith Urban, Blake Shelton, Faith Hill, and Alan Jackson. His executive roles have included President and CEO of Capitol Records Nashville, Executive Vice President of A&R at Warner Music Nashville, and President and CEO of Virgin Nashville.

Duncan was previously Senior Creative Director at Combustion Music, where he worked with acts and writers such as Corey Kent, Thomas Archer, and Brett Tyler. Earlier, he held creative and A&R positions at Dreamlined Entertainment, collaborating closely with Keith Stegall. At TAYCAN, Duncan will serve as President, overseeing day-to-day operations.

Blake Duncan: “I’m excited to launch TAYCAN Entertainment alongside Scott Hendricks. Scott has done it all, and I look forward to learning from him while helping push our creatives to reach their highest potential. Our goal is simple: find great songs, invest in great people, and build careers that last.”

Scott Hendricks: “I couldn’t be happier starting TAYCAN Entertainment with Blake Duncan. I haven’t met an executive with Blake’s passion for songwriters, knowledge, and work ethic in years. Together, we’re building a company centered around creativity, relationships, and helping writers reach their full potential. I truly believe the best is yet to come.”
