Scooter Braun has stepped down from the board of directors of HYBE, the South Korean entertainment company, though he will continue to serve as an advisor. The change was disclosed in HYBE’s first-quarter 2026 filing, where Braun’s name no longer appears among the listed directors.
Braun joined the board in 2021 after HYBE acquired his Ithaca Holdings in a deal valued at $1.05 billion. That transaction brought artists Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande under the HYBE umbrella, along with the Big Machine Label Group.
He later became CEO of HYBE America following the company’s purchase of Quality Control Music. In 2024, Braun announced he would step back from management to focus on his board role, and in 2025 he stepped down as CEO of HYBE America.
Isaac Lee, Chairman of HYBE Latin America, now also oversees HYBE America.
