Zimbabwean singer, songwriter and producer Sylent Nqo has released a new single, ‘Loco’, via the Bridgenorth Music label.

The track fuses kizomba and kompa rhythms with contemporary Afro-fusion, while its lyrics, delivered in English, ChiShona and Swahili, explore the intensity of romantic infatuation.

“It’s a love song that makes you feel crazy in the best way,” Sylent Nqo said. “That feeling when they make you lose your mind… but you love it. Sweet, chaotic, and impossible not to feel. It’s romantic, it’s playful, it’s ‘Loco’.”

The release follows ‘Sewe’, which gained traction on regional radio and social media earlier this year. Nqo also recently received a gold plaque for his single ‘Huya’.

Nqo’s work consistently merges African languages and cultural influences with modern production and global pop structures. He describes his music as an effort to craft authentic African narratives for audiences in Zimbabwe and beyond.
