Secretly Distribution has promoted Kristian Downs to Executive Director, Platform Operations. He reports to COO and Partner Chris Welz.
Downs will lead the next phase of the company’s platform development, providing strategic ownership, governance, and long-term operational direction for its core infrastructure. He will continue to oversee the Digital Operations team while working with partners Babel Ops on the further development of RIOT, Secretly Distribution’s bespoke repertoire management system, and on future operational and metadata tools.
In his new role, Downs will collaborate with senior leadership to ensure that cross-platform dependencies remain aligned as the company and its technology stack expand, and that the platform strategy supports broader business objectives.
Downs previously held senior leadership positions at AWAL/Kobalt and Beggars Group.
I’m excited to step into this role at a time when technology is playing such an important part in helping independent labels grow and adapt. A key part of my focus will be continuing to develop the systems and platforms that support our partners, ensuring they have access to best-in-class technology that enables them to operate more effectively and make informed decisions.
