Lira and Nomfundo Moh will headline the Old Mutual Music at the Lake concert at the Durban Botanic Gardens on Sunday, 9 August 2026, as part of South Africa’s National Women’s Day commemorations.
The event marks the 70th anniversary of the 1956 Women’s March, when more than 20,000 women marched to the Union Buildings in Pretoria to protest the extension of the Pass Laws.
Lira returns to the stage following her recovery from a stroke in 2022. Her recent Still Here performances have centred on themes of healing, resilience and perseverance. Nomfundo Moh, known for blending contemporary sounds with personal storytelling, explores love, identity and social experience in her music.

The outdoor concert will take place at the Durban Botanic Gardens and forms part of the city’s National Women’s Day programme.
