Aaron Bay-Schuck has been confirmed as sole chairman and CEO of Warner Records Group, outlining a strategy that prioritizes patient artist development as the basis for lasting catalog value.
In a new interview, Bay-Schuck said building that value depends on investing time in artists rather than pursuing a higher volume of releases.
He also supported retaining two separate frontline label groups within Warner Music Group, saying the company benefits from that structure rather than consolidation.
Addressing artificial intelligence (AI), Bay-Schuck argued that the rise in AI-generated music strengthens the value of a label centered on human artistry and long-term relationships.
