BMG has expanded its relationship with electronic music pioneer Jean-Michel Jarre through a global licensing deal covering his recorded catalog and future works.
The agreement places Jarre’s recorded catalog under BMG on an exclusive licensing basis across multiple territories worldwide. It extends BMG’s existing work with Jarre on the sound recordings of his first three albums.
The two parties will collaborate on long-term catalog development, protection and celebration, as well as new creative work.
In 2022, BMG acquired Jarre’s music publishing catalog, including Oxygene and Équinoxe, along with his writer’s income stream. That acquisition was BMG’s largest single deal in France.
