Create Music Group acquired a minority stake in DistroKid earlier this year. The investment connects two of the largest independent businesses in music distribution and rights administration.
Create’s backers, private equity firms Flexpoint Ford and Ares, supported the investment. The size of the stake and other transaction terms were not disclosed.
