Nigerian Afrobeats artist Davido’s sixth studio album, Oriadé, collected 30.83 million streams on Spotify during its first week of release globally.
The title, which translates to “the head that wears the crown,” reflects what Davido describes as his “crown era,” a period of self-celebration after 15 years in the music industry.
The album continues Davido’s long-running blend of Afrobeats with international sounds, following a series of releases that have expanded his global presence.
