Europe’s music sector is urging the Council and European Parliament to reject a proposed 30% cut to AgoraEU, the European Union’s proposed funding programme for culture, media and civil society from 2028 to 2034.

In a joint call, the sector is seeking at least the Commission’s €8.6 billion budget and dedicated, ring-fenced funding for music across the value chain. Europe’s music sector supports 2 million jobs and generates €9.7 billion in exports.
