New Single Release
South African rapper Gigi LaMayne has released a new collaborative single titled ‘Imnandi Lento’ featuring artists Pcee, Ndloh Jnr and VMB.
The track was released through Hart Roc Entertainment and blends dance, Afro-house, amapiano, and 3 Step musical styles with rap and production techniques inspired by South African townships.
The song features rap verses by Gigi LaMayne and melodic, dance-focused contributions from the featured artists. The production utilizes energetic rhythms common in contemporary South African dance music.
The release materials state the single explores themes of confidence, ambition, and African identity, and is presented as part of a growing international interest in African dance music.
Gigi LaMayne, who is based in Johannesburg, has worked across hip hop, Afro House, and electronic African music genres. She previously headlined the Gigi Gang Show, a large-scale solo concert.
Her career includes performances at international festivals and appearances on BBC 1Xtra, Mixmag and DJ Mag Africa.
The artist has also participated in youth empowerment initiatives and advocacy for women in the music industry.
