Hot Topic has launched HOT TOPIC Live, a music performance series created primarily for social platforms, bringing studio sessions and artist conversations to fans online.
The series is recorded in a purpose-built studio within the retailer’s Ovation Hollywood store. Performances are accompanied by original segments, including quick-fire questions and answers and conversations about artists’ band T-shirt histories.
Pierce the Veil opened the series with an exclusive session. The band described its involvement as an extension of its longstanding relationship with the retailer.
The complete performance can be watched on Hot Topic’s YouTube channel, while shorter clips are being shared across the company’s social accounts.
Andrea Lewis, Hot Topic’s vice president of marketing, said the format builds on the company’s connections to music culture and aims to offer fans access to moments unavailable elsewhere.
Hot Topic said upcoming sessions will include established and emerging artists from a range of genres.
