Jonathan Shank has been named Senior Vice President (SVP) of Global Programming at Live Nation, a role in which he will focus on expanding the company’s family entertainment and non-traditional immersive live formats.
Shank will report to Omar Al-joulani, Live Nation’s President of Touring, and will be responsible for developing and producing content across music, film, sports, and other genres on a global scale.
Shank most recently served as CEO of Terrapin Station Entertainment, which he founded in 2020 after leaving Red Light Management. The company has produced touring live productions and immersive experiences for brands including Disney Junior, Gabby’s Dollhouse, Deal Or No Deal, and Pinkfong.
He will retain his leadership of Terrapin and its ongoing projects while assuming the Live Nation position. Concurrently, Shank has sold his interest in event producer Black Ink to Sony Masterworks.
“This is an absolute dream scenario to have this opportunity and to build, not just domestically in venues, from theaters all the way up to stadiums, also globally. Non-traditional entertainment is just massive in this experience economy right now. This type of entertainment is what people want to be spending their money on right now and into the future,” Shank said.
