Warner Records has entered a partnership with A&R executive Randall “Sickamore” Medford and his New York-based creative institute, three times LOUDER, with alternative R&B singer Laila! named as the venture’s flagship artist.
The deal builds on three times LOUDER’s existing collaboration with SoundCloud and aims to broaden the imprint’s reach. The institute operates a physical space in New York City dedicated to developing hip-hop and R&B talent, guided by the principle that providing artists with room to create is the most essential service a music company can offer.
Laila!, a Brooklyn-bred artist, released her debut album Gap Year! to critical acclaim. The project earned spots on best-of-2024 lists from publications including Pitchfork, Billboard, Complex, VIBE, Vogue, Refinery29, and Okayplayer.
Sickamore previously served as a senior A&R at Epic Records and Interscope, where he contributed to the Platinum-selling careers of Travis Scott, YG, and Sheck Wes. He currently co-manages Don Toliver at Cactus Jack Management alongside Travis Scott and David Stromberg.
“Sickamore’s reputation as one of the culture’s most important and impactful disruptors most definitely precedes him,” said Warner Records CEO & Co-Chairman Aaron Bay-Schuck. “He has served as a trusted confidant to some of the world’s biggest superstars. Now, the same acumen and vision underscore three times LOUDER. We’re excited to team up with him and to elevate it to the next level.”
Sickamore added: “Laila! is the exact archetype of an artist we dreamed of when starting three times LOUDER: resourceful, fearless, and infinitely creative. In Warner Records, we have a partner that respects her autonomy and has the infrastructure to amplify her genius without compromise. I couldn’t be more excited for this partnership.”
