LyricFind, a lyric licensing platform, and Monetunes, a global music royalty collection and administration platform, have entered a licensing agreement.
Under the deal, rightsholders whose works are administered by Monetunes can earn royalties from lyric usage on digital platforms powered by LyricFind.
LyricFind will license and deliver lyrics for Monetunes-administered works to services including Google, TikTok, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Audi, Deezer, Pandora and Qobuz.
The company will track and report licensed lyric usage, then send collected royalties to Monetunes for distribution to songwriters and rightsholders.
The agreement covers works by Daddy Yankee, Zedd, Chance the Rapper, Roberta Flack, and others.
Laura Gennaro, Senior Manager, Publisher Relations at LyricFind, said:
“At LyricFind, we’re committed to helping creators capture the full value of their music, and that’s a vision we share with Monetunes. By making authorized lyrics available across the digital platforms we power, this partnership creates an additional royalty opportunity for the creators Monetunes represents while giving fans around the world more ways to engage with the music they love.”
