Independent artists ONX and Scotty Olorin are preparing to release their first joint project, a two-track collection titled ‘Swag City’ that draws on the energy of Lagos‘ underground music scene.
The collaboration took shape after ONX returned to Lagos earlier this year, leading to studio sessions with emerging creatives and the partnership with Scotty Olorin. The track ‘Purple Cup,’ produced by OYB, addresses themes of confidence, resilience, and the city’s late-night hustle. ‘StarShine,’ produced by WorldRetro, focuses on hope, perseverance, and chasing dreams.
South African engineer Bakergothekeys handled mixing and mastering. The project combines polished production with the raw textures of Lagos’ alternative movement.
