The Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA) has unveiled the nominees for Music Video of the Year and Record of the Year at the 32nd South African Music Awards (SAMA32), with public voting now open for the Record of the Year category.
The SAMA32 Homecoming Edition ceremony is scheduled for 15 August 2026 at the Sun City Superbowl in the North West Province. Tickets are currently on sale.
Record of the Year is one of the few SAMA categories decided entirely by public vote, conducted via SMS. The Music Video of the Year award recognises achievements in music video production, while Record of the Year highlights commercially successful releases and audience support.
“The Road to SAMA32 has officially begun, and if these nominations are anything to go by, South Africa is in for an extraordinary celebration of musical excellence. The SAMA32 will take place on Saturday, 15 August 2026, at the Sun City Superbowl, North West Province.”
SAMA spokesperson Unathi Gwija added that the awards continue to promote the North West Province as a destination for tourism and cultural events, aiming to attract visitors and support local economic growth.
