Siya Ntuli has released his second studio album, Inhlanhla Nomnotho, a maskandi project that explores themes of love, faith, family and perseverance.
The album, led by the focus track ‘Emvalelweni’, stays rooted in maskandi while incorporating broader musical influences. According to information released alongside the project, the songs draw on Ntuli’s personal experiences and address issues including resilience, identity, gratitude and legacy.
Inhlanhla Nomnotho follows earlier releases that helped establish Ntuli’s profile in South Africa’s music industry. The new full-length project continues his collaboration with Inkabi Records.
The record presents narratives inspired by everyday experiences and traditional maskandi storytelling. Ntuli is known for music centred on emotional honesty and cultural identity, with his work frequently reflecting themes of faith, love and lived experience.
Contributors to the album include Qhawe Shoba, Mbongeni Yaka, Mpumelelo Xaba, Muvhango Ndou and Hlomisa Nqayana.
