Soundstripe has released Buyer’s Guide To Music Licensing, a 21-page PDF designed to help content creators and marketing agencies assess royalty-free music providers. The guide focuses on enterprise licensing, rights clearance and managing legal risk.

It covers how to evaluate licensing terms, document and audit music use, and assemble a team to handle licensing decisions. It also includes an explanation of music royalties.

The guide sets out five steps for building a team and 40 steps for evaluating providers. It identifies three categories of warning signs, each containing five or six specific issues to watch for.

Its final page invites prospective clients to contact Soundstripe and explains how to prepare for that conversation.
