Stingray has launched the Ford Streaming Radio and Lincoln Streaming Radio apps, bringing its audio content directly to dashboards in select vehicles in the United States and Canada.
The co-branded apps are rolling out now, exclusively through the dashboards of compatible Ford and Lincoln models.
Compatible vehicles and features
Availability covers the following models:
- 2025 and newer: Ford Explorer, Ford Expedition, Lincoln Aviator and Lincoln Navigator.
- 2024 and newer: Lincoln Nautilus.
Drivers can browse and bookmark content through the dashboard interface. Voice commands support playback controls, including playing, pausing and skipping tracks.
Content includes music, breaking news, travel updates and podcasts, including Drive, featuring Ford chief executive Jim Farley.
Jim Riley, president of Stingray Music USA, said the company worked with Ford over several months to develop the dashboard audio experience, expanding their existing partnership.
Catalog access and broadcast radio
The integrations form part of Stingray’s strategy to widen access to its global content catalog and bring its audio services to specific vehicle models.
The launch comes as debate continues over whether newer vehicles should be required to retain free access to AM (amplitude modulation) and FM (frequency modulation) radio.
Advocates have warned that removing those broadcast functions could leave rural communities without access to essential information during emergencies.
