Virgin Music Group, the Universal Music Group (UMG) subsidiary, has unveiled its new leadership structure after completing the acquisition of Downtown Music Holdings in February following a protracted legal process. The appointments draw from both Virgin and Downtown executive ranks.
Regional Leadership
- Sarah Landy becomes Senior Vice President of Business Development, reporting to Jacqueline Saturn, President of North America and Executive Vice President of Global Artist Relations.
- Liz Northeast is Senior Vice President and General Manager, Europe, reporting to Nick Roden, President, Europe.
- Renato Vanzella is Managing Director, Brazil, reporting to Cris Falcao, President of Brazil and Portugal.
- Nathan McLay is Managing Director of Australia and New Zealand.
- Michael Roe is Managing Director of Asia, Middle East and Africa.
- Victor González is President of LATAM, U.S. Latin and Spain.
Co-CEOs Nat Pastor and JT Myers oversee all regional leaders.
Global Executive Team
- Jeremy Kramer remains Executive Vice President of Global Marketing.
- Zack Gershen remains Executive Vice President of Global Commercial and Digital Strategy.
- Tom Allen has been appointed Chief Technology Officer.
- Christiaan Kröner becomes Executive Vice President of Global Operations.
- Molly Neuman continues as President of CD Baby.
- Emily Stephenson remains President of Downtown Music Publishing.
- David Driessen is the new Chief Product Officer.
- Matt Sawin is now Executive Vice President of Physical and Direct-to-Fan Growth.
- Gareth Mellor has been appointed Senior Vice President of Communications and Brand Strategy.
Allen, Kröner, Neuman, Stephenson, Driessen, Sawin, and Mellor report to Pieter van Rijin, the former Downtown CEO who now serves as Chief Operating Officer at Virgin.
