Peruzzi, Zlatan and Shoday’s “INFERNO” reached number one on Apple Music’s Nigeria Most Played songs feed on Friday, October 30, 2026. Apple’s live feed showed the track at the top when checked at 16:02 UTC, after InterSpace Daily reported that it had reached number six in the platform’s October 29 evening update.
The move gives the collaboration a clearer release-week milestone for its team: it has led one of Nigeria’s major streaming-service rankings within a day of release. It does not establish that “INFERNO” is the country’s most-streamed song across services, nor does Apple publish a stream count in this feed. For managers and labels, the next test is whether the track holds its place after the first rush of listeners.
Two readings of the Apple ranking
Apple Music’s Nigeria Most Played feed put “INFERNO” first in the October 30 check, ahead of Seyi Vibez’s “Back 2 U” and Asake and Blaqbonez’s “IKEBE 3000.” Soundcharts displayed the same top three in its Nigeria Apple Music songs chart for the week of October 30. These independently viewed displays confirm the position, but both describe activity on Apple Music. They are not two different audience measurements.
The change is substantial relative to the previous snapshot. Our October 29 report recorded the song at number six on Apple’s Nigeria feed at 20:01 UTC that evening. That earlier article also documented a separate YouTube trending appearance. Friday’s Apple position is a new development beyond the first-day top-six result, rather than another release announcement.
What first place does and does not measure
Apple’s current list is ordered by songs played on its service in Nigeria. It is a ranking, not a disclosed number of plays. The page therefore cannot show the gap between “INFERNO” and second place, the value of the streams, or how many listeners returned for another play. Nor can it establish that the record leads Spotify, Audiomack, Boomplay or radio. Those would require separately dated evidence from each source.
The original Apple release listing names Peruzzi, Zlatan and Shoday as the recording’s lead artists and dates the single to October 29. It credits Peruzzi under exclusive licence to ONErpm. That public credit identifies a distribution relationship for the release, without disclosing any advance, term, ownership split or revenue share. The chart position likewise says nothing about the commercial terms among the three performers.
There is a business reason to watch the next few days closely. A first-place position creates a useful headline for a campaign and may help the team direct listeners to the track. Whether it becomes a sustained hit is a separate question. The next dated Apple snapshots can show whether the ranking lasts; Spotify Nigeria’s daily data can show a different service’s response; and a later TurnTable Official Nigeria Top 100 can show how the song performs on a chart that combines streams and radio. Until those observations arrive, Friday’s verified result is specific: “INFERNO” is number one on Apple Music Nigeria.
