YouTube has announced a new live concert series, Music Nights, aimed at delivering intimate performances from iconic venues directly to fans via artist channels. The series will debut with shows from Bleachers, Kacey Musgraves, and Isaiah Rashad.
The news arrives a week after rival streaming platform Spotify disclosed plans to license live festival streams, signaling heightened competition in the live music streaming space.
In a blog post, YouTube stated it collaborates closely with artists “to transform some of the world’s most iconic venues into unforgettable, intimate fan experiences, and share them with fans everywhere.”
Viewers will be able to watch full performances, replay standout tracks, and explore behind-the-scenes content on YouTube Shorts, all accessible through each artist’s Official Artist Channel.
YouTube plans to host Music Nights events this year in the US, Europe, England, and Japan.
