A coalition of 26 European music organisations has endorsed the European Parliament’s draft report on the AgoraEU programme, welcoming its proposal to recognise music as a dedicated strand.

The draft report, prepared by Members of the European Parliament Rafowicz and Kuhnke, sets out a Culture-Music strand within AgoraEU. The coalition said that strand, backed by the following elements, could help support a more sustainable, competitive and diverse future for European music:

  • meaningful investment
  • structured sector dialogue
  • practical tools

The 26 organisations issued the statement in support of the draft report.
