Sony Music has disclosed the removal of roughly 260,000 deepfakes generated using artificial intelligence (AI) that impersonated its artists, providing a measure of the volume of unauthorized synthetic content it has addressed.

Separately, AI music platform Suno is expanding into live music, extending its activities beyond generative audio tools into touring and performance.
