SoundExchange has brought back its YouTube series RoyalTeas with Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men as host. Season two examines music’s business practices, royalties and building a lasting entertainment career.

The organization announced the return on August 3, 2026, in Washington, D.C. Stockman takes over hosting duties after appearing as a guest in the first season.

Season two guests

The Webby Award-recognized series began its second season earlier this summer with Khalid, a six-time Grammy nominee. Episodes featuring Tori Kelly and Leslie Grace followed.

The remaining season includes conversations with:

  • Chance the Rapper
  • AJ McLean
  • Margaret Cho
  • David Archuleta
  • Jane Handcock

Stockman said the series gives artists an opportunity to discuss business matters that receive less attention.

“I was first introduced to this series as a guest and am honored to take a turn as host for the second season. Through these conversations, we work to shed light on how some of today’s biggest stars have navigated their careers so newer artists can better understand the complexities of our business.”

First-season audience and guests

Launched in 2025, RoyalTeas brings artists from different generations together to discuss the business behind their work, royalties and career decisions. Annabelle Klein hosted the first season.

Its guests included Leslie Odom, Jr., Mýa, Noah Cyrus, Stockman, Ravyn Lenae, Scott Hoying of Pentatonix, Trevor Jackson and Inji.

The series recorded more than 10 million views across platforms, including 1.8 million on YouTube.

Season two episodes are being released throughout the season. Full episodes appear on SoundExchange’s YouTube channel and in the RoyalTeas season one and season two playlists.

Clips appear on SoundExchange’s Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X and Threads accounts, alongside dedicated RoyalTeas accounts on Instagram and TikTok.

SoundExchange’s royalty operations

SoundExchange, the world’s largest neighboring rights organization, produces RoyalTeas as part of its work to help creators receive payment.

Since its founding in 2003, it has distributed more than $13 billion in digital performance royalties to more than 850,000 artists and rights owners.

Its international royalty services cover 93% of the available global neighboring rights market. It also collects royalties worldwide for nearly 600,000 creators.

SoundExchange is the sole organization designated by the U.S. government to administer the Section 114 sound recording license.

It collects and distributes digital performance royalties from Pandora, SiriusXM, iHeartRadio and thousands of other platforms, as well as available international performance royalties through its global partnership network.
