Shakira has completed her 13-show Madrid residency, drawing more than 700,000 fans and generating over $200 million in economic impact. The performances were part of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, which has reached $534 million in reported box-office revenue worldwide.
The residency drove greater demand for tourism and accommodation bookings in the Spanish capital than Formula 1 and Pope Leo XIV’s visit.
Worldwide ticket sales exceed 4 million
The tour has sold more than 4 million tickets globally and ranks as the highest-grossing Latin tour of all time.
Results from the first nine Madrid performances put Shakira at No. 1 on September’s LIVE75 chart on her debut. Those shows sold a combined 452,097 tickets, averaging 50,233 attendees per performance.
Artists who joined Shakira during the residency included:
- Dua Lipa
- Laura Pausini
- Alejandro Sanz
- Maluma
- Beéle
- Manuel Turizo
- Dani Martin
- Bizarrap
Cultural programming and livestream record
The residency’s ES LATINA event combined music, art, literature, fashion and gastronomy. It brought together more than 1,500 artists and performers from around the world and offered over 400 hours of cultural programming.
The residency also set an Amazon Music record for the platform’s most-watched livestream music performance by a female artist.
