Shakira set Amazon Music’s record for the most-viewed livestream performance by a female artist with her October 3 Madrid concert, the platform said. Two days later, she added a 13th date to her Madrid residency.

The additional concert is scheduled for October 12. More than 50,000 fans attended the October 3 performance inside the temporary venue called “Shakira Stadium.”

The livestream featured a surprise appearance by Dua Lipa, who joined Shakira for an acoustic performance of “Antología.”

An October 6 update identified three guests for the October 12 finale, with further surprises promised:

  • Maluma
  • Dani Martín
  • Beéle

Some fans who had purchased tickets for October 11 expressed disappointment after expecting that concert to be “the final night.” The added date moved the residency’s closing performance to October 12.

Live Nation cited demand as the reason for extending the run but did not connect that demand to the livestream. Amazon has not released a viewer count, and the available information does not establish whether the broadcast increased ticket sales.
