Everywhere At Once raised £100,000 ($135,000 USD) following its first edition last summer, funding donations to four music and youth charities. Each organisation received £25,000 from the nationwide UK grassroots music festival.
Four charities receive equal donations
The money was divided equally among:
- War Child
- Help Musicians
- Teenage Cancer Trust
- Nordoff and Robbins
The donations will support the charities’ work across music, health and youth welfare.
Funding came from public donations and contributions by participating venues, promoters and artists, alongside a donation from ticketing partner Ticketmaster.
Sarah Slater, Managing Director at Ticketmaster UK, described the grassroots community’s fundraising as a “powerful reminder of what live music can achieve when the whole sector pulls together”.
More than 1,000 grassroots shows
Backed by The National Lottery, the festival was organised by Music Venue Trust (MVT), Save Our Scene and the Association of Independent Promoters. It aimed to recognise grassroots venues’ role in UK live music and demonstrate cooperation across the independent sector.
Becky Hill, Rizzle Kicks and Fatboy Slim returned to small venues that had helped develop their careers, joining thousands of emerging artists across the weekend.
The festival staged more than 1,000 shows while independent venues faced financial pressures, rising operating costs and the risk of closure.
Music Venue Trust’s Rebecca Walker said the festival centred on “the fans who walked down the road to see a show in a room they love.”
