HYBE Americas has launched TRU Records, a new Latin Pop label, with the boy band Santos Bravos as its first signing. Alejandro Mejía will lead the venture.

Santos Bravos is HYBE’s first in-house curated Latin group. HYBE Americas developed the group in a manner similar to its K-pop boy bands, such as BTS and SEVENTEEN.
TRU Records will draw on HYBE’s existing global infrastructure to support Santos Bravos and any future signings.

Mejía described the label’s goals in a statement:
“The launch of TRU Records represents a unique opportunity to champion Latin American talent and bring it to new audiences around the world. Starting this new chapter with SANTOS BRAVOS and with the support of HYBE AMERICAS allows us to build careers with international reach while staying true to our Latin identity and the stories we tell. I’m excited for what’s ahead and for the opportunity to help build a label with a truly international vision.”
