The Australian Music Industry Network (AMIN) has launched the Australian Music Touring Network (AMTN), a free website mapping venues that host original live music across Australia. It gives artists and their teams tools to plan routes and identify community radio stations along the way.
The launch coincides with the 2026 Regional & Remote Summit in Mount Gambier, South Australia. AMTN builds on MusicNSW’s Regional Touring Network (RTN), which began mapping regional New South Wales venues in 2022. MusicNSW managing director Joe Muller said the national expansion followed the RTN’s success and feedback from artists.
Users can arrange shortlisted venues into a tour route by dragging stops into order on the map. The platform shows distances and approximate driving times between stops, and itineraries can be exported as spreadsheets to share with a team.
A community radio feature, developed with support from the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA), shows stations along a planned route. Station profiles link to the Australian Music Radio Airplay Project (AMRAP), which artists can use to reach local audiences.
The Australian Government supported AMTN through Music Australia and Creative Australia. Venues hosting original live music can register for the map, while artists and industry professionals can sign up for free access.
