ESINAM and Sibusile Xaba to Tour Southern Africa

Belgian-Ghanaian musician ESINAM and South African artist Sibusile Xaba are continuing their collaborative tour with performances scheduled in Southern Africa. This follows a series of performances earlier this month in West Africa.

The duo recently completed concerts in Togo, Ghana, and Senegal. Upcoming performances are planned in South Africa, Mozambique, and eSwatini, including appearances at the MTN Bushfire Festival and the Afro-diaspora Festival.

Their musical collaboration blends Ghanaian highlife, spiritual jazz, electronic music, and African folk influences. The project is noted for its combination of traditional rhythms with analogue and experimental production techniques.

ESINAM incorporates her Ghanaian heritage into her music, while Sibusile Xaba draws on musical traditions from KwaZulu-Natal.

“Starting our African tour in West Africa was quite an experience. Togo, Ghana, Senegal: three different vibes, three different rhythms, but so much in common too,” ESINAM stated. “West Africa has been sweet and hot.”

ESINAM also said, “I feel happy and grateful to share and play our music on the continent, starting with our hometown. I can’t wait to explore more, to welcome new experiences, and to share our music in South Africa, Mozambique, and eSwatini.”

Xaba described the opportunity to perform throughout the continent as important for both artists.

“It’s so good to play in Africa, we are truly privileged to get an opportunity to play for our people across the continent,” he said.

The performances are part of a larger tour schedule designed to connect audiences across African regions through live music. For artists looking to Music Distribution Across Africa, resources are available to help navigate the landscape. The increasing demand for live music experiences also highlights how music technology is reshaping Nigeria’s creative economy.
