Tringbox Expands AI Music Platform to Live Venues with QR Song Requests

Tringbox’s new QR-based song request system lets venue guests submit tracks, which are then evaluated by an AI Vibe Check before reaching the performer.

Indian AI background music startup Tringbox is bringing its platform to live performance spaces, adding a QR-based song request feature that uses artificial intelligence to filter audience submissions.

The company, which already provides AI-generated ambient music to cafés, restaurants, bars, nightclubs, and hotels, says the new consumer music interaction layer is designed to work alongside live DJs and artists rather than replace them.

How the request system works

Venue guests scan a QR code to request a song. Tringbox’s ‘AI Vibe Check’ system then evaluates the request against the venue’s music policy, audience demographics, time of day, and overall atmosphere. Only requests that pass this filter are forwarded to the performer via a partner app.

Inside the app, DJs or artists can accept or decline requests, manage a queue, receive shoutouts, and earn through tips and premium features such as skip-the-queue.

AI-generated music on Tringbox is used only for ambience/background music inside venues,” a company spokesperson said. “The guest song request feature is a separate layer and is enabled only at venues that have the proper licenses in place for playing requested commercial music.”

The track catalogue available for requests is limited to songs the venue has already licensed. The spokesperson added: “The idea is not to replace DJs or live performers, but to give them a structured request-and-monetisation layer, while helping venues maintain control over the overall music experience.”
