Frontiers Label Group Appoints Nils Wasko as International Head

Frontiers Label Group has appointed Nils Wasko as its new Head of International Label Management, the Italy-based heavy music company announced. Wasko brings more than three decades of experience in the heavy metal and hard rock sector to the role.

The company, headquartered in Italy, operates the imprints Frontiers Music Srl, FLG Records and BLKIIBLK Records.

Career in Heavy Music

Wasko began his music industry career in 1996 at AFM Records, where he spent 27 years. During his tenure, he held multiple positions including label manager, A&R, product manager, strategist, system developer and financial controller.

He signed a number of established metal acts, including:

  • Doro
  • U.D.O.
  • Masterplan
  • Ill Niño

He also contributed to the development of groups such as:

  • Edguy
  • Avantasia
  • Dynazty

After leaving AFM Records, Wasko joined Reigning Phoenix Music, where he worked on releases from Kerry King, Opeth and Amorphis.
