The move comes as Laylo accelerates its rollout of AI across the platform

Los Angeles-headquartered Drop CRM Laylo has appointed former Perplexity executive Brian Shin as its Head of Growth.

The move comes as the company – which says it has powered more than $1 billion in ticket, merch, and content sales for over 10,000 artists and live events – accelerates the rollout of AI across its platform.

Having scaled growth initiatives at Perplexity, one of the world’s fastest-growing AI companies, Shin will spearhead growth strategy at Laylo.

Over the past 12 months Laylo has introduced automated ticket sales and abandoned cart agents; an AI tour builder that lets management teams launch multi-city presales in seconds; and email templates that automatically optimize layouts for conversion.

This week it is adding a third AI feature, UGC Agent, which watches an artist’s Instagram Story tags, spots the fan clips worth keeping, and automatically contacts the fan requesting the original file before the Story disappears.

The company says it gives artist and event teams a way to gather fan-shot footage without scraping fan content.

Brian Shin: “Entertainment is a compelling case for AI because the most valuable work is often the most personal. I’m excited to help artist and event teams get their time back for the part only they can do.”
