The Academy of Country Music (ACM) has appointed Andy Schuon as its new chief executive officer, effective September 1. He will be based in the organization’s Nashville office.
Schuon succeeds Damon Whiteside, who stepped down on June 30 after serving as CEO since 2020. Whiteside will remain in a transitional emeritus role through the end of 2025.
Career Background
Schuon brings decades of experience across radio, television, recorded music, and live events. His previous roles include:
- Executive positions at MTV and VH1
- President of Warner Bros. Records
- Leadership roles at Universal Music Group
- Chief operating officer of Ticketmaster
The CEO search was led by ZRG Partners and the ACM board.
