Artist House has appointed Jim Cooperman chief operating officer, putting him in charge of business and legal affairs, operations and publishing. The New York-based company brings together a record label, publishing, management and recording studios.
Cooperman arrives after 14 years at Madison Square Garden Entertainment, where he served as senior vice president and associate general counsel for legal and business affairs.
His responsibilities included agreements for Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, the Beacon Theatre and the Chicago Theatre. He also helped structure deals for Sphere residencies by U2, Phish, Dead & Company and the Eagles.
Before that, Cooperman held senior roles in business and legal affairs at:

- LOUD Records
- RCA Records
He also co-founded tinyOGRE Entertainment, a joint venture with Sony Music.
Artist House co-founder Steve Lerner said Cooperman’s experience and integrity would help the company continue to grow. Lerner founded Artist House with Grammy-winning songwriter and producer Gregg Wattenberg.
