Coast Film & Music Festival (CFMF) will conclude with concerts at Laguna Beach’s historic Irvine Bowl on October 23-25. The opening night marks Rainbow Body‘s first live performance.
Three nights of headliners
- Friday, October 23: Rainbow Body, with special guest Nicki Bluhm and opening performer Ignacio Maria Gomez.
- Saturday, October 24: Three-time Grammy winner Ben Harper, with Donavon Frankenreiter, G. Love and Lily Meola.
- Sunday, October 25: Amos Lee, with Donavon Frankenreiter, G. Love and Lily Meola.
Rainbow Body’s live debut
Rainbow Body’s first concert coincides with the release of its self-titled debut album. The group wrote the album in Topanga Canyon and recorded it in Iceland near the Arctic Circle.
The band’s members are:
- Taylor Goldsmith and Griffin Goldsmith of Dawes.
- Rick Mitarotonda of Goose.
- Eric Krasno of Soulive and Lettuce.
- Ross James of Phil Lesh & The Terrapin Family Band.
- Adam MacDougall of Chris Robinson Brotherhood and Circles Around the Sun.
Taylor Goldsmith, Rainbow Body’s lead vocalist and guitarist, said:
“This will be our first Rainbow Body show. It’ll be so illuminating and satisfying to bring this material to life on a stage. That’s how it was written and that’s what will suit it best. This show will help us realize what the parameters of this band and these songs can actually be,”
Tickets and festival access
Co-founder Enich Harris described the festival as bringing together film, music and surf culture. Irvine Bowl is an open-air amphitheater in Laguna Beach’s canyon.
Festival passes and concert tickets are on sale. All concerts will proceed rain or shine.
Many CFMF passes include all three Irvine Bowl concerts. Each concert ticket also provides all-day access to that day’s festival programming at the Festival of Arts.
