Bandsintown has added seven marketing and CRM (customer relationship management) platforms to its Bandsintown For Artists Marketplace, allowing artists to sync fan email and SMS opt-ins in real time.
The expansion more than doubles the Marketplace’s marketing and CRM integrations and brings its total partner count to nearly 40.
New sync partners
Artists can now connect fan signups to Mailchimp, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, Laylo, co:brand, Hive and NxtGen.
The signups originate from Bandsintown tools artists already run on their own websites and social channels: the Widget, the Smart Link and the Signup Form. Data syncs the moment a fan opts in, with no export step required.
These additions join existing fan sync integrations with Community, Openstage and Rivet, as well as event sync with page-building tools including Linktree, Komi, Bandzoogle and Feature.fm.
How the sync behaves
Fan data lands in the artist’s own platform, such as Mailchimp or Klaviyo, exactly as it would from a native signup form. Existing automations fire the same way they always have. A fan who joins a presale can receive a code from the artist’s own platform within seconds.
The sync also registers the fan as a Bandsintown follower. From that point, Bandsintown promotes the artist to that fan automatically for every show announced nearby, on every tour, for as long as they follow, at no cost and with no additional work.
The artist’s workflow does not change; the audience does.
Scope and early users
The sync covers signups captured by the artist’s Bandsintown Widget or Smart Link. Follows and RSVPs on the Bandsintown site or app are not included.
Artists already syncing signups this way include Gorillaz, Placebo, Hayley Williams, Kehlani, Yung Gravy, Alexandra Kay and Iliza Shlesinger, as well as Angine de Poitrine, the Quebec duo who have moved from clubs to festival stages this year.
Operational effect
Independent artists often manage more tools than they have time to check separately, including a CRM, a distribution service, a link-in-bio and a Bandsintown page. This expansion connects two tools the artist already has rather than adding another one.
The result includes fewer manual exports, fewer chances to lose a fan between tools, and a Bandsintown following that keeps growing without an extra task added to the artist’s day.
