De La Soul will mark the 30th anniversary of their fourth album, Stakes Is High, with an expanded reissue on 23 October via A.O.I. Records, distributed by Chrysalis.
The deluxe edition pairs the original 1996 album with 26 bonus tracks, including previously unreleased instrumental versions, alternate remixes, and rare recordings. Physical formats include a 4LP box set, a 2CD edition, and several exclusive vinyl variants.
Among the additional material are:
- A J Dilla remix of the title track featuring Mos Def and Truth Enola
- An alternate J Dilla remix
- The rare cuts “Chanel No. Fever” and “I Can’t Call It”
Pre-orders are open now via the group’s webstore and select retailers.
Stakes Is High was the first full-length album from the Long Island trio of Posdnuos, Maseo, and the late Trugoy without longtime collaborator Prince Paul. The title track, produced by J Dilla, signaled a new sonic direction for the group.
The reissue arrives during a period of renewed activity. The group recently joined Gorillaz on stage at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to perform “Feel Good Inc.” In March 2025, Maseo disclosed that he and Posdnuos had reunited with Prince Paul to begin work on a new De La Soul album.
