DJ Guilherme tracked new interest in his São Paulo funk recordings through videos and chart activity in Turkey, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

DJ Guilherme made “Só Socadinha (Beat UnderCover)” in São Paulo, but years later, videos and chart activity showed the recording finding listeners in Turkey and Central Asia. The independent producer had run no campaign in those markets.

From São Paulo to new charts

Guilherme began working in São Paulo’s funk scene around 2011, learning at community events and alongside MCs. He later combined elements of funk automotivo with electronic music, developing Beat UnderCover in late 2018 and releasing it in January 2019. “Só Socadinha (Beat UnderCover),” recorded with MC Vuk, MC Morena and MC Cyclope, came from that period.

A video from Turkey first drew his attention to the music’s reach. He then noticed changes in his listening statistics and received Apple Music for Artists notifications about chart activity in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

  • “Só Socadinha” reached No. 14 on Spotify’s Viral Songs chart in Kazakhstan on June 4, 2025.
  • A related recording, “BEAT UnderCover (Slowed Reverb),” reached No. 1 on Shazam’s Viral chart in Uzbekistan.
  • In April 2026, “Só Socadinha” reached No. 3 on Soundcharts’ TikTok Popular chart in Turkey.

The results cover different recordings, platforms and chart categories. They show discovery, but do not establish the size of a lasting audience or how the music traveled between countries.

Following how listeners use the music

Guilherme saw the tracks used in car edits, sound system videos, nightlife posts and football clips. Slowed versions also placed the beat in settings he had not anticipated when producing it.

Guilherme founded the independent label Clima Funk in 2021. After seeing the new activity, he researched Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, looked more closely at creators using the tracks and posted a TikTok with a caption in Kazakh.

He hopes to connect with creators, collaborate with musicians from the region and eventually perform there. For now, he has kept records of dates, links and screenshots to distinguish the activity he can verify from possible explanations for its spread.
