IMPEL and a partner music publishing organization have launched a joint sandbox project with Sureel AI to examine how attribution technology traces musical works in generative AI models and outputs.

Announced on July 29, 2026 from Brussels and London, the initiative will allow independent publishers to test whether Sureel AI’s attribution tools can help ensure fair value allocation for rightsholders in the AI era.
