The InterSpace Distribution app for iPhone has been rebuilt from the ground up. The update is out now on the App Store, with a new design, plans you can buy in the app, promotion services on every live release and a sign-up that takes two short steps.
When we launched the app in May, the goal was simple: let artists check a release, a royalty statement or a split without opening a laptop. Five months on, the app does a lot more than check. Much of what you do on the web now works on your phone, and a few things are easier there than anywhere else.
Here is a short tour.
A new design, in light or dark
Every screen has been redrawn to match interspacemusic.com, in light or dark mode, with bolder type that is easier to read on a small screen. Your dashboard opens on your latest numbers straight away and refreshes in the background. Press and hold the app icon to jump straight to a new release, your wallet, Promo Studio or your analytics.
Plans inside the app
You can now compare plans and upgrade without leaving the app. Artiste, Artist Plus and Label are yearly plans at the same price as on our website, with nothing added for paying in the app, and you pay with your Apple Account. The App Store shows the price in your own currency before you confirm.
From the same screen you can turn renewal off or back on, restore a purchase, or move to a smaller plan at renewal. If your plan is billed through our website, the app shows its name and dates and never charges you a second time.
Promotion from the release page
Every live release now has a Promote section that brings your launch together: your smart link, your campaign, your pitch to our editors, New Music Friday and Promo Studio. From there you can order our promotional services and pay with your Apple Account:
- Playlist pitching on Spotify, Apple Music and Audiomack
- PR campaigns and TikTok creator campaigns
- Marketing Hub packages
- Pre-save links, Apple Music Motion Art and Dolby Atmos delivery
- Music video distribution and a Vevo channel
- Custom cover art and artist name changes
Each order asks only for what our team needs to get started, and the services you order show on the release page with their status.
Promo Studio and campaign planning
Promo Studio turns your artwork into promo cards in eight styles, in square, portrait and story sizes, with a caption and hashtags written for you. The campaign planner gives your release a dated checklist, with ready-made captions and press text.
A faster start for new artists
Joining from your phone now takes two short steps: tell us whether you are an artist or work with artists, then create your account. After your email code, a short studio setup creates your first artist, with a photo and the links where fans find you. A getting started checklist on the dashboard ticks itself off as you go.
Releases, royalties and support in one place
- Release pages: a delivery list for every store, a track sheet with a player, credits, lyrics and splits, and tracks you can reorder by dragging them.
- Royalties: statements month by month, broken down by release, track, country and store, plus withdrawals and payout history.
- Documents: when our review team asks for documents, upload them and send the release back for review from your phone.
- Copyright and conflict cases: follow a claim, reply to our team in the case thread and send a counter notice when one is allowed.
- Settings: send us feedback, rate the app and request account deletion.

The update is free and out now. If you already have the app, open the App Store and tap Update. If you are new, download InterSpace Distribution on the App Store and sign in with the account you use on the web. The app needs iOS 15 or later.
