Live Nation has signed an agreement to take a majority stake in Chilean promoter Bizarro, expanding its business in the country as several festivals announce their 2027 lineups.

Separately, Trump signed the American Music Tourism Act into law on October 9, directing federal efforts to promote travel to music destinations in the United States.

Chile investment and music tourism law

Bizarro founder Alfredo Alonso will retain creative and strategic direction. Longtime partner DG Medios will continue to have a “central role” in international events in Chile.

The bipartisan tourism law directs the Commerce Department to identify and promote domestic and international travel to US music venues, festivals and other music sites. It also establishes a federal definition of music tourism.

Calvin Harris announces North American tour

Goldenvoice‘s first Head Trip festival in Indio ended its opening night early after a lightning warning ahead of Tropical Storm Rachel.

Calvin Harris‘s headline set moved to the second day, when he performed before Swedish House Mafia. Harris also announced his first North American headlining tour, scheduled for spring 2027.

Festival lineups and return dates

  • Ultra Music Festival announced its Phase 1 lineup for March 2027 in Miami, featuring more than 25 headliners. They include Calvin Harris, Martin Garrix, Armin van Buuren, Steve Aoki and Dom Dolla.
  • Festival Estéreo Picnic unveiled more than 70 artists for its 16th edition, taking place in March 2027 at Bogotá’s Parque Simón Bolívar. Travis Scott, Charli xcx and David Guetta lead the lineup.
  • GoldenSky Festival will return to Sacramento next October after a two-year hiatus, with Zach Bryan, Megan Moroney, Treaty Oak Revival and Whiskey Myers among the performers. The edition begins a three-year commitment running through 2029.
  • Brandi Carlile‘s Girls Just Wanna Weekend will hold its eighth edition in January 2027 at Mexico’s Barceló Maya Resort. Carlile, Kelly Clarkson and Sierra Ferrell will headline.
  • Pitch Music & Arts will celebrate its 10th anniversary next March in Victoria, Australia. Its lineup has not yet been announced.
  • Amyl and The Sniffers will headline Golden Hour at Sydney’s Bondi Beach in March 2027. Every act is fronted by a woman, with BARKAA and Xiao Xiao appearing as special guests. Last year’s festival sold out.

Tour cancellations and postponements

Chris Brown and USHER cancelled four newly added stadium shows on their “R&B (rhythm and blues) Tour” in Baltimore, Cincinnati, Columbia and Indianapolis. The dates were scheduled for late October.

The promoter cited the “health and well-being of the touring party and crew”. It has not connected the cancellations to Brown’s October 26 sentencing in London over a 2023 nightclub incident.

Ella Langley cancelled her October 9 performance at Tulsa’s BOK Center, citing a “serious security threat”. Tulsa police said they found no credible threat and had not recommended cancellation.

Barry Manilow ended his October 9 performance at the Westgate Las Vegas after two songs and cancelled the following night’s show.

His representatives said he “got hit with bronchitis” following his first performance back from a six-week hiatus.

Art Garfunkel postponed all four of his UK shows after being diagnosed with “a respiratory infection”. He said he was resting on his doctor’s advice.
