Peter Okoye, who performs as Mr P, has debuted at No. 49 on the Afrobeats Power Ranking for June 2026, becoming the first member of the former duo P-Square to appear on the monthly chart as a solo act.
The ranking tracks streaming figures, release activity, and overall industry influence across the Afrobeats genre. Mr P and his brother, who records as Rudeboy, spent more than a decade as one of African pop’s most prominent acts before separating to pursue individual careers. Neither had previously placed on the list as a solo artist.
Mr P entered at No. 49, directly above Pheelz, who closed out the top 50. Famous Pluto held the No. 48 position, while Tiwa Savage sat at No. 44.
The top 10 for June 2026 included Burna Boy, Asake, Tems, Wizkid, Ayra Starr, and Tyla.
The ranking entry follows the release of Mr P’s latest single, I Can’t Look Away.
